Communications and Marketing Content Manager

As the Communications and Marketing Content Manager at the UNC School of Education, I work to manage the brand and content on behalf of the School. I am responsible for planning, managing, and executing content, both written and visual, for the School's various publications and platforms, including print, web, social media, and more.

I play an active role in articulating and furthering the School's "Propel the World" brand message and the associated visual identity through the creation of compelling and creative content. Additionally, I capture and report social media data to help inform future content creation.

Communications Strategy and Social Media Strategy + Management 

  • I plan, produce, post, and manage content for the School's social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and Threads

  • I monitor social media and the associated social conversations on behalf of the School, creating regular social media reports to track the progress of engagement.

Storytelling: 
Writing and Editing

  • I plan and execute the creation of marketing and communications content that conveys the stories of the School of Education and its people and programs.

  • I convey strategic messages to varying internal and external audiences for the purposes of:

    • Alumni relations

    • Student recruitment

    • Annual reporting

    • Peer perception and engagement

    • Individual/community accomplishments

Visual Content Creation 

  • I create content that includes both written and visual elements (design, photography, and video).

  • I develop content for the School's various print and digital publications, including:

    • Print and email newsletters

    • School website

    • Social media

    • Fundraising appeals
